Shaw Cross Sharks winger Joe Halloran was also among the Yorkshire squad.

Both Wyke’s open age teams fought out Pennine League draws last Saturday.

Wyke’s first team drew 15-15 at Criggletone All Blacks in the Championship and their A team battled out an 8-8 stalemate against Kinsley Hotel Raiders in Division Four.

Hanging Heaton stay just a point behind leaders Ossett Trinity Tigers, who won 46-28 at Woodhouse Warriors.

Heaton host mid-table Brotherton Bulldogs on Saturday, when Ossett travel to Wakefield City, who have lost their opening five matches.

Dewsbury Celtic slipped to a fourth defeat in five Division Three matches as they went down 22-16 at home to Allerton Bywater.

Celtic remain second-bottom and are due to play the reverse fixture at Allerton this Saturday bidding to climb away from trouble.
