WYKE Wanderers’ quest for the West Yorkshire League Cup was ended last Saturday by visitors Otley Town.

They put in a determined effort but Otley Town won the quarter-final 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ben Greenhow.

Wyke now return to Division One action and will be looking to make up ground on on the top two of Robin Hood Athletic and Oxenhope Recreation.

Wyke are in sixth place, 14 points behind leaders Robin Hood but with four games in hand.

Tomorrow Wyke visit second-bottom Hartshead who lost 6-0 at Oxenhope last week and need maximum points to pull clear of the danger zone as the season reaches its finale.
